Super Soft Orange Sponge Cake

This Orange Sponge Cake has a light and moist texture and with a fresh orangy flavor. The colour of the cake is extremely beautiful that comes from the freshly squeezed oranges. There is no colouring added to it. I hope you guys enjoy this super soft Orange Sponge Cake.

Orange Sponge Cake
2 oranges (medium size)
90g Plain Flour
4 eggs (medium size)
100g sugar
½ tsp baking powder
40ml corn oil
70ml Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice/ fresh orange juice
1 tbsp orange zest

Preheat Oven 160°C
Baking Temperature: 160°C
Baking Time: 65 minutes
Round Baking Pan: 18cm in diameter

Every oven works differently, so baking time may vary. Once the cake is baked, turn off oven and leave it in the oven for about 8 minutes with the oven door slightly open. Gently insert a toothpick in the middle of the cake and if the toothpick comes out clean, the cake is ready.

Tips: You can store it in an airtight container at room temperature or in a fridge for a few days.
